I would have to say that I have been pretty lucky this year to have worked with some pretty incredible people, and Leah and Donnie were just amazing! You might actually recognize these two from their engagement shoot we did back in July. Leah & Donnie are probably one of the best looking and nicest couples I have ever met. The best part about these two... they love to have fun! The wedding party was just as great... willing to try all sorts of things and even threw out some great ideas for photos to try out! We had a perfect day and wandered around Clarence Town Park for a few photos before heading over to Diamond Hawk Country Club for the reception. We had an awesome time, and even managed to grab a few golf carts to go off-roading with! Here are a few of my favorites from the day... enjoy!

And now for something totally different! Last week, I was granted an incredible opportunity to travel down to New Orleans to document a community rebuild project funded by Waste Management, in an area called Assumption Parish. This area was devastated by Hurricane Katrina, Gustav and Ike and has received very little funding to rebuild. With the help of the community and Waste Management, we were able to give Assumption Parish it's first community park in over 50 years. I have to say that this experience was truly eye-opening. The people down there were so wonderful and deserving of this park. It was a project that joined people across many different backgrounds to come together to do something wonderful. Now that I'm finally back from all my travels, I can focus on my blog again! It's been a while, but two weeks ago, I worked with an awesome couple: Allie & Duane. These two are so full of love for each other and were just beaming the entire day! Their ceremony was in one of Buffalo's most beautiful churches... Trinity Episcopal Church where we were surrounded by Tiffany stained glass windows and I saw a candle light prayer for the couple by the entire congregation! We then headed over to the Japanese Gardens for a quick shoot before going to the reception. It was a perfect day and these were a few of my favorites from it... enjoy!

So, I barely had the chance to unpack my suitcase and I'm off again! This time I'm headed down to New Orleans to do some documentary photography on a Katrina rebuild project sponsored by Waste Management. I'm super excited to go down and I can't wait to help out the community there. I will be posting photos once I get back and get caught up with some weddings too! See you soon!
